How many lessons will I need?

All I can really suggest is come along for a lesson, and you'll soon see how quickly you learn and how much there is to learn.  With skating the fun is in the progress, not the destination, you're guaranteed thousands of hours of enjoyment learning and practicing.

There are many factors affecting this, such as:

  • People have differing goals, some wish only to learn to skate safely and efficiently, whilst others want to learn all sorts of advanced skills.  For example I still take lessons and workshops on a regular basis because skating is one of those sports you can never master, there's always something new and fun to learn.
  • Some people learn physical skills more quickly than others
  • Some people have ice skating or skiing experience, and this helps them to learn rollerblading much more quickly as the skills are very similar.

Most of the expert skaters you'll see in Hyde Park have spent years working on their skills, that's why you might initially feel skating is incredibly difficult.  Don't sweat it, just plug away and focus on your own improvements and progress, and keep practicing!

What skill level are you?
It doesn't matter whether you're a complete beginner, intermediate, or an advanced skater.

I'll take you at your current skill level and adapt to your needs and skating goals.
