Lessons are fun!
My goal with
your skating lessons is to make them fun, and to break down
difficult skills into chunks that you can digest easily. That
way you get to see your own progress and feel pride in your
achievements. I want you to succeed in skating, and I won't
hold you back in your lessons.
Lessons build confidence.
When you know what you're going to learn, in a suitable order of
skill, and how you're learning it, you'll have much better
confidence as a result. You'll have that confidence not only
in your ability to skate, but also in how to learn new skating
sills. Knowing how to stand on your skates, how to reduce your
chances of falling, and how to stop will make things a whole lot
easier! Lessons help you to learn skills
faster. Much of skating is non-intuitive, that's to say much
appears contrary to common sense. This makes it harder to
learn on your own. Having an instructor who's been through it
all himself means you can use my knowledge to save yourself much
trial and error, and hopefully a few bruises too. |
